Looking at how many problems he solved there is no argument about it
I would wish to come here with my problem and the hell with screenshot or video
I expect whole guide how to achieve what i want with step by step tutorial explaining what to do and why so i know how it works
But i am aware ppl that help here do it out of their free will sacrificing their free time and not get paid for it
So expecting any kind of help/answer from them is more than enough for me
MrMen for your knowledge and help you are providing here for mother freaking FREE (NOT to me but to all others)
Hi,
I am not sure if I get your post right, but at the moment it comes across as if you are complaining about one of the most active and knowledgable members of our forum. Even if you are not happy with the response you got, it is a bit odd to make a topic about the person who offered you help. What kind of discussion do you expect to happen?
How would you like it, if someone made a topic called “Talking about SuperMrWilliams3”?
As ZeroX4 already mentioned, no one in the forum is required to answer a topic. That you need a video or an image for implementing suggested events is not the problem of the person who is offering you a solution.
Next time you ask a question, you could add that you are only interested in answers that provide a video. I don’t believe that this would be less frustrating for you, but it would save time for everyone who is inclined to answer your question.
Let’s see what kind of information you provided like how much you followed this requests so it would be easier to provide help to you
I mean we don’t need to check it since you as user who expect some higher standard of help for free for sure did provide everything he was asked for
Like i would not believe you expect something more from others and so you simply could not give less than minimum from yourself
Like come one who would believe that?
BUUUUUT just in case i could be wrong let’s see if i am any close to truth
We should do everything for this post to stay here
It serve as perfect example how frustration can lead users here into doing something they should not
Lets really take a look at MrMen
I let’s pick any random topic in which he did try to provide help
Did he ask ever for anything in return?
Cause all i see he is only providing help here to best of his knowledge
SuperMrWilliams3 got frustrated cause he expected screenshots
Without properly expressing he do not understand what is written in words so he need to actually see what he is told to do
And nothing wrong in the fact he did not understand some form of communicating solution for him
But there is something wrong with what he decided to do with it
And now look he did realize he did something wrong even offer MrMen apology
MrMen did not do anything to SuperMrWilliams3 like help him in THIS topic understand what he do is wrong
Did not attack him did not argue with him
YET SuperMrWilliams3 did realize it was not ok
At 1st i was like “this should be reported to mod to delete this”
Now i say SuperMrWilliams3 learned something and that is best thing you can get in this forum in my eyes
Knowledge
We all have moments of frustration and that is normal
The way we get out of it shows what kind of ppl we are
I did not think anything good of SuperMrWilliams3 when i saw this topic
Now i have a lot respect to him
For admitting he was wrong and offering apology
So i say in the end only good things came out from this topic and everyone can learn from it
Visitors won’t think of what you’re thinking of. They’ll think that there are some crazy people in this forum. And instead of reserving this post. We should tell newcomers that the people here are volunteers and they are not forced to help.
If that is the truth then you should ask SuperMrWilliams3 to add note at beginning of his 1st message here
Clarifying his problem with MrMen and to what conclusion he came and why
And not proposing this topic to be removed
Generally I wouldn’t recommend making a topic like this at all, interpersonal community concerns should either be kept via PM or via moderation.
However, this is unrelated to GDevelop itself, so I’m moving it over to the community forum. If MrMen wishes, this can also be closed, feel free to flag it for moderation or reply.
