Testers Needed for Twardy 2.0

I am inviting you (yes, you and YOU only) to become an OFFICIAL playtester for Twardy 2.0.

Now, you may be asking these 4 questions:

  1. WHAT EVEN IS Twardy 2.0?
  2. Are there any requirements?
  3. Can’t I just playtest on Itch?
  4. Why now?

Luckily for you, I can answer ALL of those questions! (But GEEZ you don’t have to ask so much since I was going to get to that anyways.)

If you don’t have the time to read this entire post, I recommend skipping questions 1 and 2. Those are kinda pointless, but there to clarify things.

1. WHAT EVEN IS Twardy 2.0?*

*Twardy 2.0 veterans can skip this section.

Twardy 2.0 is a sandbox-survival game made in GDevelop. The official sequel to Twardy, Twardy 2.0 is a place where you can explore vast landscapes and engage in thrilling combat , all while building your own world and meeting unique characters. Your imagination is the only limit!

Twardy 2.0 is being developed by one man using GDevelop for the game logic and Piskel for the pixel art assets. The music is created with Chrome Music Lab, and sound effects with JFXR.

The game is planned to release on November 22nd 2034, hopefully on Steam for $1x.99. (The x is TBD.) But don’t worry though, since I VERY REGULARLY provide updates on the project on the Twardy 2.0 Megathread.

If that wasn’t enough for you, you can learn more about Twardy 2.0 on its Itch page.

2. Are there any requirements?

Short answer: No.

Long answer: …Kinda?

All you need to be an official playtester for Twardy 2.0 is to:

  • Have a PC (Or anything that can have/has an built-in/external keyboard)
  • Have a web browser (Google, The Most Unethical Browser To Exist Microsoft Edge, etc.) AND/OR (preferably “and”) be able to run Windows, Mac, or Linux executables
  • Own an account on GDevelop Forum
  • Have a good attitude
  • Be able to give constructive and SPECIFIC feedback regularly/semi-regularly (<- The most important one!)

3. Can’t I just playtest on Itch?

Short answer: Yes.

Long answer: Yes, but you’re missing out on so many perks.

The perks of signing up now to be an OFFICIAL playtester are as follows:

  • A place in the credits (of the game)
  • FREE BUILDS OF Twardy 2.0 UNTIL ITS RELEASE (This is important because not all phases of Twardy 2.0 will be publicly available)
  • Access to special “DevTest” builds
  • No discord (Man, for some reason, I HATE discord.)
  • (Occasional) Special previews of versions yet to be released
  • Spoilers for upcoming features Occasional sneak-peeks at future Twardy 2.0 content
  • Free copy of the game when it releases (If I can, THAT MEANS YOU DON’T HAVE TO SPEND $1x.99!)
  • Access to the (irregularly updated) Twardy 2.0 GDDs

So, ARE YOU SURE you want to keep playtesting Twardy 2.0 unofficially? You’d be missing out on this current team of playtesters:

Ambytar , Yhac10, shadowbrine

Now here comes the MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION:

4. Why now?

The reason why I am doing this now is so I can bribe find as much people as possible to give me as much feedback as possible so my game can become the best one possible.

Because of this, signing up for being a playtester is due by November 22, 2025. All you need to do to sign up is by messaging me on GDevelop Forum WHY you want to be a playtester. (There is a 99.999…% chance I will let you in.)

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

This is a forum, not an advertisement or marketing announcement. The title is really bad, and it’s also in all caps. Can you change it?

Hey! I’d be open to testing Twardy 2.0! I can give constructive feedback, but I’m not sure how regularly I’ll be on. The test game would just be in the browser, right?

@WorldStudios I just test your game by time to time, but no offense: please stop using me for any ads especially if I wasn’t asked for.
