AI is not harmful, it’s the misuse of AI that is harmful. Nowadays, the level of knowledge has decreased due to the misuse of phones. “If a phone can provide an answer to a problem, why learn anything?” This is the mindset of most students in my class. Out of 34 students, only 10 are actively learning. Despite the fact that phones are being collected, students still manage to obtain them and receive perfect scores on their exams.
Now, AI has entered the realm of GameDev… This will further contribute to the decline in people’s knowledge levels.
And all of this is happening because of laziness!

You have no idea how much I identified with you. When I was in high school, it was common to see how lazy my classmates were, especially in Spanish class, where they didn’t even bother to analyze the books and short poems.
I agree, AI isn’t bad; it’s a tool. The problem is that it’s very practical and fast.
Those two things make many people think the same thing you said: “Why learn if I can just ask an AI?”
This fosters laziness about learning in some people, especially young people.
Although there’s a sense of relief on the subject; it’s being discussed more and more, and there are more and more complaints. I hope the complaints are enough to make people reflect.

Well, if the fiasco of NVIDIA’s DLSS5 announcement is any indication of the direction this technology is taking, I don’t know what else can show you how much this “wave” will destroy the careers of many aspiring game designers who visit these forums every day.

Oh please AI is not like the terminator and never will be and there never is going to be a terminator because it goes against the laws of robotics and we would need to be stupid enough to say “yes” like in the movie in order for skynet and the terminator to become a reality so as long as we say “no” and use AI then there’s practically no problems…
Maybe not like terminator, but AI has already killed people in ways that Asimov couldn’t have predicted by inciting suicides and mass murders to weak-minded people.
AI so far causes harm accidentally, but this is still a problem their creators were unable to predict or simply did not care about putting in the safety measures that so many other organizations have begged them to adopt.
