Too many new ideas

I am just wondering if anyone else suffers with this.

I have so many ideas for new games that I have to start developing the idea straight away in case I forget the new idea and any other games that I am currently working on get left on the back burner.

I currently have about 15 unfinished projects.

I do have some ideas I want to implement!

I want to make Stealth, Card, and Space Shooter games, but I won’t implement them until I finish the idea I’m working on, which is a racing game. When I finish the game, I will implement others.

When do you consider a game finished??

I consider a game finished when most important and planned features are complete, and it’s mostly bug-free.

What to do with ideas?

Taking note of these ideas will help you later when you finish the current game.

That said, I’m not sure if the way I’m doing it is correct.

With experience you will find that ideas are cheap. It’s doing the actual work which is important.

It’s referred to as shiny object syndrome, and quite common. Here’s Tim Ruswicks take on it.

I have this problem and then got another idea which was to write each game idea down in a small notepad that I have, using only one page for each in order to keep it succinct.

Haven’t done it yet but it’s a good idea right :stuck_out_tongue:
