Unban Request – GDevelop Discord

Hello GDevelop team,

I know that unban requests aren’t usually accepted, but I received this ban over a year ago and would really love a second chance. My only goal is both to seek and help help others.

What I Did

I posted a slightly homophobic meme in chat twice. I didn’t mean any harm, I’m homosexual myself but I realize that doesn’t change anything. I did not receive any formal warnings (like a DM by a bot or staff) and only got a response in chat by an moderator after I had already become inactive and thereby i did not see the message.

Why You Should Revoke the Ban

I’ve been using GDevelop for years and really like working with it. The Discord server is a cool place to talk with and help other GDevelop developers, and I really miss being there.

What I Learned

I now understand that even jokes or memes meant with no offensive can be harmful or inappropriate in a public community. I will think more before i talk, and of the server rules and how my actions affect others.

I was banned by helperwesley, and my username is ileikgaimz.

This is not relevant at all to this topic and doesnt help :slight_smile: i have been banned for a long time and i personally think that i should be considered an unban. thats why i made this topic

While I understand this isn’t what you’ll want to hear, bans are permanent. There are no unbans.

Yes but my ban was not fair and i only got 2 non formal warnings when your supposed to get 3 actual warnings:(

GDevelop Mods don’t really do unbanning. Also, if you want to post jokes like that, you probably shouldn’t post it in the GDevelop Discord.

It shouldnt be, because youre supposesd to get 3 formal strikes, i got 0 formal 2 replies
