What Upcoming Game(s) Are You Most Looking Forward to?

Summer Game Fest just happened, and this week is Steam’s Next Fest. Are there any games that were announced that you’re excited for? It doesn’t have to have been revealed during the aforementioned events either.
[EDIT: It doesn’t have to be on PC either. It can be any game(s) on any platform.]

Personally, I’m looking forward to Dispatch, Witchbrook, Grave Seasons, and We Harvest Shadows. I’m also excited for Clockwork Revolution because I absolutely love steampunk, but sadly first-person games tend to make me motion sick… But I can watch other people play for the most part, so I’ll have to settle for vicariously playing through my husband lol

Hi @MentalBloxx

Unfortunately, I don’t have Steam installed, so I can’t be hoping for any games that are announced that I’m excited for. I usually stick to itch.io, the Microsoft Store, and the OMEN Gaming Hub for games, and then I’ll install Steam later on.

It doesn’t have to be games available on Steam. What upcoming games on any platform are you excited for?
I just mentioned those events because they either just happened or are in progress.

Omg me too. I never used to have that issue when I was younger. Now days I can barely play a first person game that has a ton of movement. Maybe games like MYST would be okay since it’s slower paced.

There’s only a few games I am waiting to play currently. I also haven’t seen any announcements recently either but so far I am excited for Titan Quest 2, Gothic Remake, and Grim Dawn’s new expansion when that comes out. Kinda all the games at the moment that have me super excited.

Honestly, I don’t even like first-person games at all. Not because they make me motion sick or that they’re either fast-paced or slow-paced. It’s because I’m very unfamiliar with them, and that it’s hard to judge where I’m going. Now, I barely played a first-person game, whether it’s a first-person shooter, a first-person parkour platformer, or anything else. It’s just that I don’t find interest in them, nor do I like the feel on how they’re played. I like more of third-person games and any other genre that doesn’t have to do with any first-person perspective in any way.

I get motion sick from some modern first person games. But not vintage ones. Dungeon Master, Eye of the Beholder and the immortal Might and Magic series come to mind, I collect vintage games of course. I’m generally more excited about vintage games than upcoming games.

There are some games that try to help with motion-sickness by adding a marker in the center of the screen that you can focus on, but I find that it makes things worse for me  I discovered this when I tried playing Palia which, surprisingly, is a third-person game. I figured I’d try it out, just to see and it quickly made me dizzy. I think it was because focusing on one tiny spot while everything else is in motion was just weird.

Yeah also think the leap in graphics quality and added motion blur and other stuff could possibly be a contributing factor for making me dizzy during these games. I just tend to avoid them altogether so I don’t feel like that.
