What was your breakthrough moment?

So, stuck in tutorial hell for a long time now.

I’m curious to know, for those out of it, actively creating, what was your breakthrough moment, or what did you create that made you feel like the training wheels were off?

When I recreated a game in GDevelop that I’d made in Unity and Godot, but in a lot less time - about a couple of months it turned out. That game was my initial goal, so I had an idea of what I needed to understand to achieve making the game.

Rather than going over a multitude of tutorials, I picked up what I needed as I needed it. You’re continually picking up new things, and not necessarily in tutorials. So it’s no longer training wheels, and instead become more of a driver assist.
