Haha. Do you choose the same starter word each time? I do. Sometimes I think it gets me absolutely nowhere but even its failure for the first guess gives clues for the second guess. And I think MrMen used to also have a single starter word but now chooses from a (carefully selected) range of words. If I did that, I’d obsess too much about ‘oh noooo, I should have used that other starter word and completed it in less guesses, etc’.
I just type something random and pray that I get it first try, a failed plan as has been witnessed. I will try a more strategic approach next time

@MrMen can you please take note of what your guesses for lines 4 and 5 were. I can think of what one of them might be, but won’t say yet as other people may not have done 274 yet. I also think you used your original starter word, the one I know about. But yeah, that was a brutal game for you.

Couldn’t share 274 because my wife started doing it and she told me what it was She makes up words that don’t exist, and it won’t count as a fail. Then she just guesses the word 3rd time. Strangest but most effective method I’ve seen so far.
This is my 275, again keeping it at 4. At least I’m keeping it consistent.

I thought of repel and then refer. But for me, I would never leave ‘t’ until the fifth guess. I know there’s context of course so that could have played a part.
Epicsleeper, no wayyyy, I usually do wordle on a call with a non native English speaking friend who does the exact same thing as your wife. Here’s some of my favourite samples of my friend’s ridiculous words that get accepted: clonk, bemad, potch, tanky, comus…
I defined her as crazy. But being a non-native speaker has more definition as a theory for why she does it. I will remember that

Yes, haha, and maybe if I hadn’t done such a big arrow pointing to the 20, fate would have been kinder. And we both had a complete fail on guess number one.

Fairly similar. But,
Current streak 2? Max streak 7? Okay, did you fail a wordle or two and not tell anyone? Or the merge stats missed a detail? Or didn’t play those days? You can reset your computer time to play yesterday’s puzzle. But if you do, make sure you do the new puzzle first or you might have to muck around with timestamps as I did once. Or accidentally saw the answer and didn’t play?
See, that’s why when I saw the answer I fake guessed to my most common stat. I didn’t want to destroy my streak.
Update, okay just added up your results, they come to the total, so let me take back the fail charge, haha. So the merge stats needs some tweaking.
Yeah, I don’t know what that current streak or largest streak is all about. The worst I’ve done is 6, but I’ve never failed - if I did , my family would surely disown me for being a dunce.
And I didn’t mess with those stats, I just added my home PC 1-6 guess stats to my work one - it’s an array so I just combined the two sets of values. I needed to update the totals, but left everything else. I figured those are for stats nerds, a category I don’t see myself in; I consider myself to belong to the geek arena .
Ah, I think I understand the streak business. Mine is broken and short because I sometimes play on my work PC, and other times on my home PC. The streak is the number of continuous days played.

What I find impressive is we went through a fair bit of the alphabet, and found words with quite a few unique set of letters (16 different letters used for 5 words)
