Hi all!

It is super to have here all skills of the GD games creators!

Ryan, if you would want to create a games development team, you would be at the right place

Reading again this post, i had an idea for a new other subject.
Wait and you’ll know more about that.

It’s funny you say that, because a small group of us have already got together to start working on something together lol But we met on Reddit by chance.

Can’t wait to see the topic!

The subject concerns why do you have chosen your nickname on the forum.

And what will be the thema of your project?

We are still planning the project and it’s very early but, it’s going to be a space themed game with strategy gameplay and some management aspects to it as well.

My favorite part of game development is the experience to see my artifical world. Things which I have created: characters, world, story and music come together to create an interactive illusion.

As a solo-developer, my favorite part of game development is scheduling when to do things. I enjoy it because it is easy and calming (for me).

Time management is huge with game development. Especially for your own time. A lot of people struggle dealing with that, so I am glad you enjoy doing it!

It is pretty awesome to see your game come to life!

Hi all!

For me, it would be very interessant to describe what is time-consumming in games creating. And the most important how to avoid this lost of time (i have an idea in mind)
It is in fact the inverse direction of your topic Ryan, sorry!

When you add a new mechanic, and after 20,000,000 tests, it finally works perfect. that is the best feeling every time!

Oh I agree with this so much. There have been many times where I worked on something for so long, and it didn’t work, or would break or just did things that it wasn’t meant to do. Finally getting something to work properly, even with spaghetti code and everything held together with band aids, string, and hope. Its such a good feeling and a sense of accomplishment.
