As most of you probably know, there is a game I’m working on called “Miko Adventures: Puffball”
Now the game is kinda heavy and will require a good pc to run it well (not the highest PC or anything but just a good one).
.
Now my system requirements for the game might be something like this (not confirmed 100%):-
R7 260X , GTX 750 TI or better
4 gb ram or better
I5 processor or better
.
First question: are these requirements too high or just normal stuff?
.
knowing that the R7 card is released in (Oct 8th, 2013) you can say by now that it’s probably a low-end card so yeah … if it can run it then I’m sure anything above will run the game just fine.
.
So we know that the game works fine with my R7 260x 2GB
BUT when I tried the game on my laptop with MX230 2GB … massive lag in levels (specially big ones). The reason is simple … the MX230 is 2 times weaker than R7260X
.
So my second question: Is there a way in GD to make (low - mid - high) graphic options like in other games?
.
I know about changing resolution … but what about other settings? is it possible to disable anti aliasing maybe or any other graphical options you see in other games…
Why I need this? … it’s just to make the game run on more computers not just the ones with or above the requirements.
.
Thanks for any help as always…
maybe you can put some objects that are only for decoration on an external layer and create objects from it only if the resolution is high enough. Less objects on screen => less lag on low end computers. I don’t know if PIXI can hot-change settings like Antialiasing.
