Enemy's randomly get stuck and don't turn around after hitting a wall

I’m trying to make an enemy that patrols around a certain space and turns around when hitting a wall.

For some reason, the code randomly stops working, and every instance of the enemy in the scene gets stuck on the wall they were supposed to turn around at.

Enemy movement code:

i think you should try a short raycast or point inside object check with a custom point to the right of the sprite.

I think “repeat for each instance” is not needed.

Trigger once is evaluated per event, not per instance. With several enemies in the scene, the condition stays true while any one of them is touching a wall, so once the event has fired it won’t fire again until no enemy is in contact at all. A single enemy resting against a wall therefore freezes turning for all of the others, which matches your report that every instance gets stuck at once rather than just one of them.

The fix is state that lives on the instance. Give the enemy an object boolean, set it when the collision begins, clear it once the enemy is clear of the wall, and turn on that change. An object timer on the enemy works the same way. Because both belong to the instance, one stuck enemy can’t block the rest.
