I came back to GDevelop after a rather long time. With new pair of eyes, I saw much that might need improvement haha.
-
There should be a way to hide all sections in the Home tab except Create.
-
I also think this shouldn’t be in the Create section. Or at least not at the top.
-
Deleting projects should be this hard. Having a dialog box to warn you is fine, but type delete to confirm? You should also be able to delete multiple projects at once.
-
When creating a new project, all these are just there for nothing (the remix and AI stuff). You could have like, two tabs, one solely for creating new project, and another for creating new project through the existing library. Or a way to hide them, at least.
-
Similar to the object tab, the Scene, External Event, External Layout, Extension should all have a way to folder them. Or at least something to filter them out.
-
You can group events using Shift + G. You should be able to ungroup them similarly.
-
Selecting multiple objects in the object editor so that you can drag them at a time to their respective folders. A folder shortcut would be nice too.
-
There should be a way to open extensions without this dialog box appearing every time. A little checkmark for “Do not show this again” would be nice.
-
Multiple selection and deletion of scenes, external events, external layouts, behaviors, objects, effects, variables, functions in an extension. We should also be able to copy and duplicate them (as long as they aren’t game breaking, i.e. behavior or effect duplication).
-
Shortcut for anything that basically any dialog box that involves adding and deleting stuff, i.e. variables, sprite animation, etc.
