Get character to slide after air-dashing

im try to get my player character to transfer there airspeed into there landing and then have it immediately decelerate like a jet touchdown, would anyone know how to start this?

Are you using the platformer character behavior?
What happens when you dash and when you land?

If you jump, then dash, and as your dashing your character is falling, then when it connects with the ground it full stops…

think what you could do is store your speed or “forces” into a variable and then when you hit the floor, add the force to your character.

im almost sure you can do that

just make it so that your only storing the forces while your jumping or falling, that way they dont get saved as 0 when your on the ground.
