For my game, I am trying to add a ‘simple’ knockback system to smoothly knock the player back after taking damage, and I have a working system but I dont know how to make it look smooth / arc so it looks like the player is getting hit up and back rather than being forced backwards into the air. I will attach my current code (im a beginner so its not very complex) for reference!
The game is a 2d sidescroller styled platformer if that helps and I can create a link to the game if necessary to see how I mean for the knockback currently if anyone wants.
