So in my game my brother really wants the trees to interact with the light with normal maps, but im i have no idea how. I thought it might of been a sprite effect but not sure.
We have a lighting feature, but I don’t know what 'normal maps" mean.
There was a plan to include normal maps, but as far as I understand it, there has been no update/progress since 2020:
The person working on the feature deleted the repository last year. I think he’s stopped working on it.
May there be someone who wants to start a new implentation of this feature?
At the moment I’m playing “Sea of Stars” and beside the great hidden 3D features and the shaders, the normal mapping has an big impact on this lively game world.
It would be great if games like this would be fully doable (including all the eye candy) with the use of GDevelop!
