How do I implement cameras for each player in my multiplayer game?

Hello! I am an indie developer and I am currently in development of a multiplayer video game. But through the creation I have run into some troubles. Most of them i figured out but I’m struggling right now implementing multiplayer cameras for each player. Like making it so each player has a camera focused on them like multiplayer cameras for each player so each player is only seeing themselves. So yeah I need some help… if anyone could give me some advice or tips it would be very much appreciated. Thx in advance!

Anybody? Can anyone help meeeee!?

Hello!? Anyone!? Please!!!

I can you a screen shot or something if yall want?

But I don’t think it would really help much in anyway

Do you need me to clarify… because my question might be confusing for some

Sadly :pensive: multiplayer issues tend to sit here gathering dust as most of the regulars on here, like me don’t have much multiplayer experience. Someone like jurfix would know but the multiplayer officionardos clearly have lives outside of this forum, whereas I just have a tyre swing and a some water melons to play with.
I’m assuming you do something like use the player variable for the camera number. But you’ve probably tried that already

I think I understood is you are making a multiplayer game where each player has the camera focused on their own player?

Unfortunately what petlimpet said is true, U (most likely) wont find lots of users giving answers to you, but u can look in the wiki

Sorry I wasent much help : /

Hi! I’ve been experimenting with multiplayer a bit and there’s this vid by gem dev that helped me with player cameras.

  • I hope it’s okay to put a link here, but if it gets removed, you can just search gem dev.

Thank you for your feedback!

Please remember that not everyone is logged on all day and some members only log on occasionally. So please give it a day or two before bumping your post.

Have you looked in the multiplayer section of the GDevelop documentation? I’d suggest you use that as your first port of call.
