How do I stop the dino disappearing?

I have attached screen grabs and a gif showing the issue. I have the code/events showing as well.

Please let me know what rookie mistake I am making. I can see nothing that would make the dino leave. I have removed all the assets and put them back in as well. I normally don’t use assets from the store but I don’t think that’s it for sure. However, it is only the blue one, no matter what I do.

Have you accidentally added the blue dino to the words object group? Is the blue dino’s physics behaviour set up the same as the others?

No, it was not added to the words group.
Yes, they are all copies. Oddly enough the blue one was my original. Copied it to the others, then it started disappearing. I tried a number of things to fix it, including removing everything (resources tab as well) and bringing it back in. That did fix it for a little but it has started occurring again.

Have you noticed your 1st meteor are not emitting particles either when colliding with shield?

Does the blue dino have an animation with blank frames?

Yeah, I have but I am pretty sure that’s due to collisions, I plan on eventually just using a distance between two objects event later. This isn’t the final version on looks and feel, just wanted to get mechanics going and seeing if my son would even want to do something like this as way to work on his spelling.

Right now it pretty much already can accomplish my end goal, but I would like to make something that would appeal to other classmates since they all have the same spelling words.

Nah, no blank frames and everything is on loop except for kick and hurt.

If you open the developer tools (crtl + shift + i) and click on the console tab, is there anything there that mentions the blue dino image?

Just a question! Is it normal the dinos getting closer while moving as they have the same behavior set up?

Not that I can see, but I have never used the developer tools.

I searched for Dino but nothing came up but I have a lot of errors about a resource, but it doesn’t say Dino.

As far as why do they catch up, I think it’s because I am using physics.

The force applied to all objects is the same, but it perhaps moves them at different speeds due to the size of the objects. I am not sure but that’s what I think.

Are the physics settings the same for the blue dino and the others, in particular the settings for Density, Gravity Scale and are the layers and masks configurations highlighting the ‘1’?

If you run start the preview in debug mode, is there an entry in the inspector for blue dino? If so what are it’s properties, particularly the x & y position? Do these values change as you click refresh?

Okay, so I duplicated the blue dino. Copied the behaviors from the red one. It would appear for a little and then go away. I then made it smaller, now it stays. I just don’t understand how any of it correlates.

I also made the green dino massive, it behaved normally. The weird behaviors are only on the blue one.

Actually disappear as in deleted? Or off screen?

It just goes away, there is no delete command in there yet.

Sure, but it can go away in many ways - deleted, hidden, placed off screen. When you run it in the debugger, does the instance get removed from the objects list in the inspector?

Hey, I haven’t given up on this but I need to learn more about developer mode before I continue trouble shooting. I have not gotten the error to repeat with any other items and for now I have made the blue dino smaller to go ahead and move forward with other things.

I appreciate you showing me debug mode though.
