How to export part of a game file to ask about bug

I found a bug that can’t really be explained without multiple screenshots and videos, and I want to export only the scene with the bug and the global obects/variables it depends on. How do I do that?

Not sure if that is possible.

As far as I’m aware, you would need to export the whole game.

You could always tho, make the other scene 100% inaccessible or duplicate the whole game and delete the rest of scenes

I guess that would work, when I do export it what format should I use

Duplicate your project
In duplicate remove all other scenes
Then remove whatever else you want to get rid off and export

Depends, where are you exporting your game to?

A zip file to put here to ask about a bug I’ve encountered

the game is very unfinished so I’m not thinking about exporting it anywhere yet

Nothing against it. I just want to remind you that if the “situation” causing the bug isn’t reduced to the bare minimum, the “bug” won’t be taken into consideration, unless you’re able to reproduce it in a new project and only with the specific “situation” that triggers it.

Exporting an entire scene, including all variables, mosts of the times is not enough to identify the “bug”… assuming it’s actually there.

The word ‘bug’ isn’t a substitute for something to fix that you can’t fix yourself…
simply bcs bug can’t be fixed…from a user perspective.

So its gonna be desktop then, so others can open up the game.

If you want to let others view your project to see the bug and potentially fix it, you can zip up your game folder and add it here without directly exporting it. That way, people can see your events and etc.
