It looks good for a prototype. I suggest you change the piranha Z’s position below the pipes Z position, and add the original SMB music.

I was going to add the music before I published this, but I didn’t. The piranhas’ Z positions being above the pipes was a temporary change from when they were still being worked on, and I haven’t changed it back. : )

Unless this game become insanely popular, or the game ends up being a remake, @PoliThePolarCat should be fine. But then again, you never know with Nintendo, especially with how crazy they’ve been recently with the patents.

Nintendo have taken down games that don’t make any revenue before. Turning of ads is just the bare minimum.

its kind of sad, coz how will it benefit them if the game makes no money?
Simple. If people are playing the free fangames, they won’t play the official game you have to pay for, or at least that’s how Nintendo thinks.
Biggest example was a fangame of Metroid 2 (forgot the name of it) that was taken down suspiciously a few months before Nintendo released their own remake of the game.

I am going to say something, excuse me if that offenses somebody. 
Concerning the old Mario games, it was not the games the most difficult to create, it’s a fact.
The mechanics of the game was rather basics and the graphics was not transcendent.
In the recent Mario games, it’s great better but it is not the pantheon of the game neither.

Yep, way way back in the late 1980’s, US Gold released a game on the Home systems called Great Giana Sisters, which was a “Warts and all” clone of Super Mario Bros, Nintendo caught wind of it and sued US Gold to Hell and back for copyright infringement.

I have also GGS even on console Dreamcast.
