jittery dynamic camera

Hi, I’ve been trying to make a camera that will follow the player at a delay and also zoom out the further it gets from the player. I’ve managed to make almost exactly what I’m after I just have one issue, the camera jitters like crazy. I’ve attached an example (which is very rough) to show the kind of camera I’m after but you can see the problem as soon as you begin to speed up.

Does anyone know a way of making this type of camera but much smoother?

(the controls for the game are: Click to jump the ball and swipe left or right to add speed as if you were using a touch screen)
