I am having trouble using two layers and a lighthing layer.
My project has a background and a button (on layer1), then another layer (layer2) with a room and a candle and there is the light layer.
I would like to have the background and the button NOT affected by the light but the candle and all futur element of the room affected by the light.
In the editor, in the layers panel, the layers have an order. If you don’t want a layer to be affected by light, you must move that layer above the lighting layer. That order defines which layer is seen above the others.
I don’t know how it would work on a layer that is behind the rest but doesn’t have to be affected by light.
Thanks for your help !
The thing is, the layer I dont want to be affected by the light is the layer with my background. So if I put it above the other 2 layers, those 2 layers will be totally hidden…
I was looking for a way to make the layer behind the base layer not affected by light, but I couldn’t do it. I tried to modify the ambient color of the light of each layer separately, but from what I was testing, each of the layers is not modified separately. Maybe it’s a bug or I’m doing something wrong.
I do think its working correctly. Its just my request that must be non logical =p
If its a background it should be behind everything else. So the light will definitly affect it.
But nevermind, I just double think about it today, and I will make the background not full so that, even in front of the other part of the scene, it wont hide it !
