Make elavation/inclines in isometric game

i need a bit of advise. i just designed a jump mechanic for my isometric game, but im a bit confused on how to design inclines and elavation for the character to jump from(for example a character jumping of a cliff and landing on the ground below the cliff). This has always stumped me but i see it in so many other isometric games.
