Particle emitter to be able to emit sprites, i think it would be really useful to add some ambience to games such as falling of leaves, moths flying around a flame

You can make them emit textures (Ex: leafs etc…). It one of the options.

Here like this add a new particle effect then select Textured and se the image you want
