Is your images points (Origin, Centre) ok? As you can see in the picture.
You can do everything that is 2D, also rpg. 3D is not possible, only 3Dbox (Kind of 3D platformer is possible https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JGuL0sc8nXk )
