Rudamentary dialogue system / behavior

I know there’s Yarn support but it’s a mess to use and unintuitive.

I would really like to see some sort of dialogue manager. Something that combines the 3rd party options out there with typewriter text typing and sound effects, and the ability to press a button to skip to the end of the line. And a second press of the same button to go onto the next line.

Been using Gdevelop off and on for years and I’ve gotten close but unable to use the same button to do both actions. Or the dialogue skips to the last line. Or the typewriter behavior doesn’t work correctly in some instances etc.

Just really any sort of more built-in native dialogue progression tool would be amazing. I would even subscribe to it if it were a separate add-on.

While i agree and upvoted,
i’ve found the dialogue system by Pandako very well made and intuitive.
If you’re with Yarn , u could try it.

I’ve upvoted your suggestion. A built-in dialogue manager with typewriter text and sound effects, plus intuitive controls, would be a fantastic addition to GDevelop. It would streamline the dialogue creation process and enhance user experience. Let’s hope the team considers this feature!
