Scene timer issues


I have a condition (a button) to start an action (the scene timer).
But the timer is starting on it’s own without the condition being met.
Am I doing something wrong here?

When a timer condition is checked by GDevelop, the timer starts.

Yes it seems as though you have to create the timer at the start of the scene, then pause it, then create it again, then finally check it. Very strange.

Could someone please show me exactly what this would look like in the events?
