(Solved) Play animation automatically

Hello everyone!

Can someone help me out with this?

What I wanted was when DNA and Histone collides it turns into chromatin. After collision it deletes DNA and Histone and creates the Chromatin and does an animation. But in this case chromatin does not animate automatically, it just shows the first frame. I tried this on my phone and it works fine. I don’t have any idea how this happened.

Hi, I don’t know also, but I would recommend first to create a new object Chromatin before deleting Histone (becouse in creating object you are refering to Histone position). I don’t know if this will help with your problem, but give it a try.

Also you can paste here details of Chromatin object (screenshot with animations and frames of the object). This can help too.

Here are the details for the Chromatin

This is what I did on my phone.

this works fine.

Maybe it has something to do with the layer?

The one that I did on my phone was all on the base layer

while the one that I did on my computer was on another layer, the condense layer.

I don’t see where is problem. But try switching create and delete - first create, then delete. Let me know if that make any difference.

Still does not work. I forgot to add, my “Condense layer” appears after I pause my Base Layer scene. I think that might be the problem(?)

Don’t mind the red global var. I’ll have to rename that later lol

If you like, you can share me your project, I can take a look.

I’d appreciate that. I will dm the file to you. Thank you!

Edit: I don’t know how to save my particular scene into a file. My game has like 6 scenes and it’s looks super chaotic, it’s embarrassing to send the whole thing :sob:

@radekpilmaier I figured it out! Thank you for offering your help. I appreciate it so much!

What I did was I think I paused the whole scene that’s why no animation plays. I tried pausing only the base layer and everything in the condense layer works fine now.

Hey, I am glad you figured it out!

Also I would like to encourage you to not to be shy about your work. I have worked 20 years in development and first 10 years always when we finished project we felt like it would be best to make it again from the scrath with all the knowledge we gained during the journey. But thats a life you know - neverending learning process

PS: You can mark this topic as solved
