is there any way to make sound volume based on distance work easily without being a rocket scientist

Sadly GDevelop has a maximum volume of 100. I also wish it could be higher. :confused:

What did you change it from? If you changed it from 900 β†’ 100 nothing will change because GDevelop’s max volume is 100, even if you manually set it to 900.

Have you used a text object linked to the volume to see if it’s changing as planned?
I think I said in your previous post that I link volume on channels to (1/distance between objects)*10000…if there’s more than one instance you need to be specific about which one.
Also volume on music channels seems to get ignored completely by iOS.
