2D Light object texture rotation

What would you like to request:
I am requesting an enchantment of 2D Light object. Specifically, I’d like to have ability to rotate (a texture of the light object) to create something like a flashlight.

Why you are requesting it:
The 2D Point Light object cannot be rotated. This prevents the creation of fundamental lighting types, such as a 2D directional light. Being able to rotate a light is crucial for simulating light coming from a flashlight, a car’s headlights, etc. I am unsure if this is a design choice or a technical limitation of the underlying Pixi.js renderer.

Lights doesn't rotate

You’re probably trying to create something like a torch, aren’t you? You’re right - I’ve just tested it. It’s not possible to rotate a light object. But you can create a sprite with which you limit the light cone of the circular light. You can then rotate this as you wish. And you can also make it invisible and it will still process the obstacle behaviour.

I agree, but i’m assuming that there’s a technical reason. I’ve just done headlights as objects with blend mode 1 but it would be nice to be able to use a light object instead! I like your use of the word ‘enchantment’ as it suggests that the dev team are wizards/sorcerers!
