Reconnecting my gamepad keeps changing its identifier (1, 2, 3, or 4).
Its a third party gamepad recognized by windows as a xbox controller.
I want to just connect a gamepad and have it working.
It don nt.
Here is a screenshot of my beautyfully organized 4 groups making it possible for all gamepads to control the player
As far as I’ve ever tested, the first gamepad connected is always gamepad 1. If you have multiple gamepads connected, or a wireless adapter that is storing old connections, you may not be able to work around that.
@Bouh may be able to confirm more.
It is a single wireless gamepad but it is connected via usb.

There is no identifier on the equipment/hardware, impossible to recognize them.
That’s why most of the games need to go back to the lobby.
So its solved? -You cant, but you can set all gamepad to control the player…
