Description:
The current multiplayer system only supports a single lobby interface. This limits game design. Multiplayer customization has also been mentioned in the past with no concrete progress.
Multiple Lobby Windows:
Add support for multiple lobby UI windows. For example:
Action: Open lobby window 1
Action: Open lobby window 2
Each window would be fully controlled by the
developer and could represent different modes, menus, or flows (casual screen, ranked screen, invite-only screen, etc.), without changing the underlying P2P system.
Developer Control:
Lobby windows should be fully event-driven, with access to player data and synced variables, so developers decide what each lobby window represents and how it behaves.
One-Time Multiplayer Unlock (P2P):
Since multiplayer is peer-to-peer and does not require GDevelop-hosted servers, offer a one-time payment (e.g. €10) to unlock multiplayer permanently. This removes subscription friction for indie devs while still generating profit, as ongoing server costs are minimal or nonexistent.
Why This Matters:
This keeps multiplayer accessible, avoids unnecessary subscriptions, and gives developers proper UI flexibility without increasing infrastructure cost

- Check first if a similar request already exists. If it does, to vote for it and add their comment in that category (this help us see the traction of the requested features).
- If the features does not exist, to create a topic with only one request. This is better to tag and follow them instead of tracking multiple functionalities in a single conversation.
