[Solved] Cannot generate preview link cause project is not yours

I am putting it as bug where i believe it should be also feature request

I made actual feature request to default publish radio button to off so instead it generate preview link

Publish on GD games and preview link button

So with new update we have this radio button [image] And it is it default state to publish a game We need to click it to create preview link [image] I would say more sense it would have to by default leave it at OFF state to generate preview link OR make it remember last choice Cause right now it defaults always to publishing And as i assume more times we need to generate preview link for tests than publish our game Or am i missing something?

Had same issue i experience
Basically in my case i was using someones else project
And when i did try to generate preview link
Pressing publish game button did not take me anywhere (aside from displaying this message on top)

It just try to load and then go back to this window and i not producing that preview link

Same as user

I did not report it earlier cause i was sure it was me related problem
But now idk if it is same for some ppl or will it be same for everyone who for example will use template/example modify it and try to generate preview link

Hello, thanks for raising this, this is indeed an issue that’s been introduced with the recent redesign of the dialog. (It was working before)

We’ve just fixed it and it will be available in the next release : Update publish flow to allow creating links if game is not owned by ClementPasteau · Pull Request #7184 · 4ian/GDevelop · GitHub
