YES PLEASE !
i just noticed this today when publishing a game to GD.games to test it (usually i test using run preview on network, but in my rare case i had to publish to gd to run test it), the public option should be off by default, not every project i publish i want it to be show on my profile in gd games, even in itch.io, after clicking publish, it auto save the project as draft by default, you have to scroll to visibility options in the project settings and set it to Public.
Cause in your case as someone who have there link to for example
VegeTato\RtsTemplate
IF you gonna try to do some changes to your project
And you will want to preview it in browser via generating link
You will NOT generate unique link with random characters
Nah you will update VegeTato\RtsTemplate
AND THEN you will be allowed to generate another preview link and get that unique link
