What's your score on Wordle?

Haha, I had to do a double take on that one too. I was wondering what the binary was for

My attempt today (or Epicsleeper’s tomorrow  ) wasn’t that flash :

It was also my tomorrow. Yeah, this one was really tough. Was getting absolutely nowhere for a long time.

I have surprised myself with this one. My second guess had a ā€œKā€ at the end. Knowing that it isn’t supposed to be at the end made my next guess easy.

BTW, I’ve believe I’ve fixed the bug on level 2 of Viking’s Remorse. I’d appreciate if you could check confirm level 2 works ok now (it’s always worked for me, so I can’t test it myself).

Aahw, that’s too bad. It would’ve been a nice comeback. You turned off hard mode I see, got sick of the abominable scores? :innocent:

And it indeed works now. The last character has been repositioned I see. If you need any more testing, you can always message me  I will finish Viking’s Remorse and will let you know if I come across any more finicky things.

Ha, I didn’t realise I’d managed to do that. I still played like it was hard mode.

And thanks for checking the game. Now I need to design some more levels.

Thought of the answer after guess 1 but tried other options first…

Yayyy, got through level 2. Played level 3, all good. Level 4, I really couldn’t see a lot of difference between the trap tiles and normal ones. Will try in daylight tomorrow, don’t want to have my screen yellow filter off or my brightness too high at night to see which is which.

Here’s a camera pic, it shows it a bit less clear than it actually is though. How many levels are there at the moment? You must have had a lot of fun planning the layout to have barrels etc in the way and the weak thrower of level 3 I think. It’s really good, looking forward to playing more tomorrow.

Very enjoyable. Here’s my comments:

  • level 5, top right tree was hard to get lined up, so frustrating haha

  • level 6, there was an oval shaped shadow above the player for second half of level, think it appeared when he was in bottom left corner or somewhere at the bottom

  • level 7, didn’t realise stump axes could cut down trees, got lucky and found out accidentally right at the beginning. Stuck on 6 axes left though, with top left trees remaining and not sure how to avoid the traps, but will look again later.

And the death skull things, did they have any detrimental effect? They didn’t seem to.

The idea behind is that you need to have a bit of a look around and plan your route before you rush out and miss the tile difference. And that’s also why there’s no time restriction.

Would the game benefit from having a replay button next to the exit button that restarts the level straight away?

I’ve left a few ā€˜minor’ details like that out on purpose, to encourage the player to try different things. The thing to also remember is that hitting a stump axe with a flying axe will destroy the flying axe.

And those trees in a line are done so on purpose  .

The skulls signs are just decoration. Also, there are only 7 levels for now. I’ll make more over the next few weeks.

Yes, absolutely, I really enjoyed that part of it. But last night I just couldn’t tell the difference between the tiles.

Yes please. When I made a mistake and hit another enemy etc then I had to exit and go back in, so a replay button would be very good. Although one time I did some practising of things.

Ah yes, I didn’t explicitly think about this but made sure to throw the nearest stump axes to the player first at the bottom left corner of level 7 I think.

My playing/testing was me trying to do as well as possible but I’ll also have a go later at testing things by deliberately hitting barrels etc. But I’m ā€˜stumped’ on that top left corner though haha.

But I have a question/observation, in the first level with trees, level 5 I think, the number of axes was 14. But with six enemies and three trees I was expecting 3 axes per tree to be 15 axes.
It took me a while to understand properly what that level was all about, but I realise that’s part of the tone of the game.

No yellows for me.
MrMen, I was going to ask what on earth your fourth word could be, but then realised. Haha, it’s not a word you hear often but just sounds so funny.

Mr Men, I played Viking’s Remorse again. The last time I played I thought, oh, there’s a trap there and tried to think of how to get around it.

Clue to Level 7

This time I just went for it and it’s a one way trap. Haha, I felt a bit cheated.

Anyway, I revived all five enemies and chopped down all the trees and had no axes left on the stumps. But it said I had one axe left and failed me. I did it again and same result. Am I missing a MrMen clever trick in the game or is there a bug?

The former, me thinks :

I can post a spoiler for the level if you like, but I suspect you’d prefer the challenge

It’s one of those words today that, if you get the wrong right letters (as in the first letter in this case can be one of many), it can be a pot luck guess :

Potential level 7 clues

I noticed one barrel had a red lid. One shrub was flowering. But haven’t made any useful use of that yet.

I’ve also watched the level intro looking for clues. You could consider having a custom fail message if you know that it’s just the one MrMen special axe that’s missing. Like Erik telling them it’s not a bug, they just haven’t found it yet.

Yes.

I have been very busy, but today had time to squeeze one in
