Folders for the following, Scenes, Extensions, External Events, External Layouts. “I may be unsure if their is a way already, as I am new”
Why - Simple organisation, there does not need to be any other reason or interaction for sub folders.
Example - Testing a project and with lots of extensions, and leaning towards writing my own to really test them out. I would want to organise them by use and functionality in the project.
Also, scenes to be able to organise and kept larger projects tidy and manageable, perhaps I am getting older but folder and project organisation is essential for many devs.
End - I understand people have mentioned scene folders, but really any organisational tools, folders and subfolders would go along way. For me, extensions are something that would be great to organise by functionality and my use case, especially when I am writing and making my own.
Warmest regards! Sorry if this is already on the roadmap, but I just wanted to open a discussions for others to join about that extra bit of organisation.
we already have folders for sprites, just right click scene objects and make a folder and name it then drag the objects or sprites to the folder and your done
Welcome to the forum. I guess that you didn’t notice this section has some specific rules. You might want to take a couple of minutes to read them: ⭐ Welcome to the User Feedback channel!, we ask people to:
Verify if the request already exists and if that’s the case, add their vote and/or comment to that existent topic.
If the topic dos not exist, we ask them to create a new one with only one request per topic.
“Folders for X, Y, Z” might seem as the same thing, but technically they’re different beasts -which require individual time for their implementation-.
You can vote for the Scene folders here: Scene folders (for organizing)
As listed in the rules, I’ll close and archive your request.
Thank you for you understanding.
